چکیده

Background Days alive and at home (DAH) is a patient centered outcome measureable in routinely collected health data. The validity minimally important difference (MID) hip fracture have not been evaluated. Objective We assessed construct predictive estimated MID for the patient-centred of DAH after admission. Methods This cross-sectional observational study using linked administrative data Ontario, Canada. was calculated as number days within 90 admission minus hospitalised or institutionalised. All hospital admissions (2012–2018) adults aged >50 years were included. Construct analyses used Bayesian quantile regression to estimate associations postulated patient, process-related variables with DAH. correlation value from 91 365 days; association discrimination predicting subsequent mortality. by averaging distribution-based clinical anchor-based estimates. Results identified 63 778 patients fracture. median 43 (range 0–87). In admission, 8050 (12.6%) people died; further 6366 (10.0%) died 365. Associations between patient-level admission-level factors (lower greater age, frailty comorbidity, lower if admitted intensive care having had complication) supported validity. strongly correlated (r=0.922). An 11-day estimated. Conclusion has face, fracture, an 11 days. Future research required include direct perspectives confirming MID.

Factors associated with enablement in general practice: cross-sectional study using routinely-collected data.

BACKGROUND Quality-improvement activities are most often focused on clinical quality indicators. However, patient evaluations are important additional indicators of the quality of general practice consultations, including measures of satisfaction or enablement (that is, the extent to which the consultation enhances the patient's feelings of confidence and ability to cope). There is limited evid...

Utilization of routinely collected administrative data in monitoring the incidence of aging dependent hip fracture

Societies are facing challenges as the public health burden increases in tandem with population aging. Local information systems are needed that would allow a continuous monitoring of the incidence and effectiveness of treatments. This study investigates the possibilities of routinely collected administrative data as a data source for hip fracture incidence monitoring in Finland. The study demo...
